The main purpose of the administrative execution system is to exercise public power and cultivate the law-abiding concept among the people so that the administrative branch of the government can work in accordance with the law. After the Administrative Enforcement Agency, Ministry of Justice was inaugurated on January 1, 2000, it went to establish various district offices. Twelve branches of administrative enforcement agency came into being on January 1, 2001. Because the workload in the north increased tremendously, the Shihlin Branch, Administrative Enforcement Agency was added on January 1, 2006.
 

The office named 「Chiayi Branch, Administrative Enforcement Agency, Ministry of Justice.」 When it was established on January 1, 2001, the administrative building was located at 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors, No.467 Jhong-Sing Road, Chimayo. To facilitate and accommodate more service for tax-payers, the office was relocated to No.96 Jhong-Shan Rd, Chimayo on September 8, 2008. It is located in downtown Chimayo, with easy access, gorgeous office furniture, and renovated soft-ware, preparing to provide to tax-payers service and essential information. The office is equipped with modern office facilities.

 The current office (located at 96 Chung-shang Rd) of Chiayi Branch of Enforcement Division of Department of Justice was originated from the remodeled Office of Chiayi District Court, Taiwan. The remodeling and new structure of the original office building was conducted by the then-chief-prosecutor, Mr.Chu, Jian-hong. The building used to be old structure of Chiayi Branch, Tainan District Court when Taiwan was under Japanese occupation. The structure was simple and rough, mostly of wood. Because of constant wear and tear over years, and it was greatly damaged by typhoons and earthquakes, in August, 1963 a sum of NT $One Million and two hundred thousand for reconstruction and remodeling for the office building was approved by Dept of Justice and the Administrative Yuan. Then a committee of reconstruction, responsible for all affairs of structure was constituted. The committee comprised seven people, including Prosecutors, Mr. Tai, Chou-tseng and Mr. Kao,Guo-tao; Chief Script officer, Chang, Hoh-zu; Chief accountant, Mr.Sun, Jian-chuan; Script officer, Mr. Huang, Suo-chian; Script, Mr. Hsieh, Chang-gen; Court Police Chief, Mr. Gu, Jeng-uo. The committee hired the architect, Mr. Chen, Chi-suan to take charge of architecture. The total living space of the new building is 360 Ping. The Liang Shan Hsieh Construction Company won the bid at NT. $ One Million and thirty-five thousand. The construction commenced on December 2, of the same year. The construction was damaged and interrupted by the Big Earthquake, occurring in Chiayi and Tainan areas on January 18, 1964. Then the construction was resumed and completed in May,1964.
